Portal Builder Configuration Guide

Technical guide to configuring TenvioCloud's portal builder, pages, forms, workflows, and publishing controls.

Page Design and Navigation

Start with task-based navigation instead of ERP module names. Group pages into outcomes such as Track Orders, Submit RMA, or Upload Compliance Docs. This keeps external users focused on workflows they understand and reduces support requests caused by internal terminology.

Configure Data Grids and Forms

For each page, define visible fields, default sort order, filter options, and export permissions by role. In forms, use required field validation and contextual guidance to improve first-time completion rates. Where possible, prefill known account data to reduce user input errors and abandoned submissions.

Workflow and Approval Automation

Attach approval flows to high-risk or high-value actions such as expedited orders, credit-sensitive returns, or supplier onboarding exceptions. Configure notifications based on role and SLA windows. Clear status transitions make it easier for customer service and procurement teams to manage queue backlog.

Publishing and Governance

Use draft, review, and publish steps for all portal changes. Keep a lightweight change log with owner, test evidence, and release date. Governance controls matter most when multiple admins manage forms, page copy, and integration settings across customer and vendor experiences.
